The human papillomavirus (HPV) may be the most widespread, misunderstood and potentially dangerous epidemic and yet most people know little about it. 80% of all people under age 50- will have a strain of the virus at some point in their lives, and most won’t realize they have it. Cervical cancer is almost exclusively caused by HPV and is the 2nd leading cancer in women. Worldwide, cervical cancer kills of 250,000 women each year.
